F.A.Q.

What can I expect at your studio?

You can expect a welcoming, community-based yoga center that caters to a wide client demographic. We have no mirrors, no judgement, and we invite you to join us to experience a non-performative yoga studio vibe. We offer a spa-like yoga setting where it is okay to show up exactly as you are.

Do I need to pre-register for classes or can I just show up at the scheduled time?
Please Sign up for your yoga class at least 1 hour in advance so that our teachers know you are attending. You are also welcome to just drop by, but please note that on the rare occasion that no one signs up for class, we will cancel the class at the 1-hour mark so that our teachers do not need to drive to the studio for an empty class.

How big are your classes?
Small yoga class size enhances your experience because our teachers are able to see you and ensure that all students receive proper guidance throughout the class. Our yoga sessions in Burien are currently limited to 27 although most are smaller.

Do I need to bring my own mat?
We encourage all people to bring their own yoga mat and props however rental mats are available for $3 each for non-members; members receive free mat rentals.

How hot are your heated classes?
We have both heated and unheated classes. Our infrared heaters are set at a maximum of 80 degrees. Our unheated classes are set to 68 degrees maximum and they do offer air-conditioning in the summer.

What happens if I need to take a break during class?
We believe that you are the best decision-maker for your body. Therefore, if you need to rest on your mat or step out of the room during class, you are free to do so. We simply ask that you do so as quietly as you can and if you plan to leave the studio entirely make sure you alert the teacher before class starts.

What is the best class to take if I have never taken a yoga class before?
We suggest that new yoga students try out our Water classes first as they are slower-paced classes and the teacher offers more instructions to make the poses accessible for all body types. But, if you feel comfortable jumping into any class, please do!

Do you offer private yoga instruction?
Yes! Private yoga lessons are a great way to take your yoga practice to a new level. We offer private lessons 1, 2, or 5 session passes and our signature Deep Dive Personal Yoga Training Series.

Is yoga good for myofascial release therapy?
Yes! Myofascial pain syndrome sounds complex but it really refers to muscle pain and soft tissue inflammation. “Myo” means muscle and “fascial” is the thin, connective tissue that encases every muscle. Myofascial pain. As a result, myofascial pain can occur in any part of the body and is usually caused by a traumatic event or tension caused by stress of repetitive movements or awkward actions. Yoga with its infinite poses and deep-breathing, stretching exercises can provide myofascial release which helps the tissues better adapt to otherwise painful movements. Yoga coupled with deep breathing benefits stiff and sedentary bodies and a healthy fascial system. We also offer myofascial release workshops every few months.
